I don't have much of my own thoughts right now. So I'm just gonna quote Order of the Stick:

"You told me before that you are who you are on the worst day of your life.
And that's true. That's 100% true. But you know who else you are?
You are who you are on the *next* day."

Top to bottom, front to back, what the fuck are we doing here?
Per @garretthaake.bsky.social, the extremely tacky "presidential wall of fame" that lines the colonnade to the West Wing now has obviously-Trump-penned plaques insulting or praising the presidents.

There's a Disney novel that gives Gaston a backstory where he was childhood friends with the Prince, who promises that Gaston will be a knight should he ever slay "a beast."

It's not very good and the cover is terrifying.

So much of my vocabulary, my views on art, my aspirations as a storyteller, are tied to the works of Rob Reiner.
Back in 2022, I wrote an article covering my 10 favorite movies.

Princess Bride was #1. It will always be #1.

The run that Rob Reiner went on between 1984 and 1992 is one of the most amazing hot streaks any director has ever had. Legendary stuff

I beat Metroid Prime 4 a couple nights ago. 100% items, it took 16 hours and change. It did weird things to my brain, and I needed to write about it. So enjoy this unplanned meditation on the fourth Metroid Prime game.

When my family went to see Madagascar 2 I got a box of cookie dough bites. After the movie I noticed there was one smashed on the bottom of my shoe. Being child, I immediately peeled it off and ate it.

Turned out it was dog shit from when I was mowing the lawn earlier.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

The reason Skyrim keeps getting re-released is because it's kinda where open-world rpgs peaked.
Not on a quality level, but in terms of function. Like how it will take you the same amount of time to clean your house with a vacuum from 30 years ago as it would with a vacuum from today
