The Republican president is a pedophile who has doubled my healthcare costs and let scores of violent criminals out of jail. But a Democratic mayor-elect wants to make busses free in a city I don't live in. I have never felt more politically homeless.

every time you think the new WaPo editorial board can't embarrass itself any more, they manage to find a way.

Left: 'Texas gerrymandering is no big deal!', from August.
Right: 'Maryland gerrymandering is an affront to Western civilization!', from today.

When we were on Twitter the line was “Twitter isn’t real life” and now that Twitter is deliberately stirring up bigotry it’s “Bluesky is a bubble you have to be on Twitter” and I think that is a pretty clear statement of value.
Vital piece of investigative reporting from Sky. They've uncovered the X algorithm which feeds users extremist right wing material from the moment they join the site. It is a far-right radicalisation engine, by design.

I thought Maryland may be tempted to look elsewhere if they lose out, but their hands may be tied with these openings
Current college football head coaching vacancies:

◻️ LSU
◻️ Penn State
◻️ Florida
◻️ Arkansas
◻️ UCLA
◻️ Oklahoma State

Last week, the Trump admin purged senior leadership at ICE ERO, which leads internal immigration enforcement. Gregory Bovino and the Border Patrol are now increasingly in charge. As former ICE Chief of Staff Jason Houser writes, what we're getting now is theater, not serious law enforcement.
Opinion | The White House's sweeping overhaul of ICE is creating a Frankenstein force
The recent wave of ICE senior official reassignments has a clear motive.

I know Maryland has been bad for a long time, but it’s still crazy that they’ve managed to become the most irrelevant power conference football program in the country
FINAL:
No. 2 Indiana 55
Maryland 10

Mendoza 14-21, 201, TD, INT
Washington 16-31, 242, TD, 2INT, FUM
5 UMD TOs

Terps outgained on the ground 367 to 37 as Indiana settled in after its first two series.

Terps now 0-11 after byes and 0-17 against ranked B1G under Mike Locksley.

I have no idea where this will all go, but I still can’t believe defenders were/are so confident, that between a future with Collins, Planter or someone else, they’d find more moral common ground with the views and decisions of the one who got and kept an SS tattoo
The more evidence mounts that Platner is lying, the more convinced I become that he is lying not only about his past but also about his current views.
CNN confirms that multiple sources suggest Graham Platner knew his tattoo was a Nazi symbol years prior to launching his campaign — and is now blatantly lying about it.

Maryland should fire Locksley because we're going to be dealing with levels of apathy around this program that are hard to comprehend even by Maryland standards. And that's a shame, because he's done a lot for the program and has accumulated some real talent. But you can't overcome nobody caring
Maryland is 21-5 in September under Mike Locksley and 7-16 in October.

A 4-0 start this year has become 4-3. It's happening again.
