"Elijah [Saunders] continues to be more physical..I don’t think its his nature, but his nature is bending," Buzz Williams says.
November 20, 2025 at 3:20 AM
Maryland coach Buzz Williams: "The endurance of our guys has continued to increase."

Says "those 8 guys played in a completely different role than they've ever played" tonight.

"I would say this whole season so far has been an adjustment," says Maryland's Elijah Saunders

“I was reading the game, making the right decisions,” Maryland guard Diggy Coit says of his 41-point performance.

FINAL in OT:
Maryland 95
Mount 90

Diggy Coit 41pts (11-17, 8-10 3pt, 11-11 FT). Singlehandedly wills Terps to victory.

Arlandus Keyes led MSM with 22pts. Four MSM scorers in double figures.

Terps won't be at Xfinity til December; head to Players Era in Vegas next week.
November 20, 2025 at 2:30 AM
Maryland guard Diggy Coit is up to 38 with that baseline floater, a new career high.
Previous was 37 against Buffalo on March 8, 2024, when he was at Northern Illinois.
November 20, 2025 at 2:20 AM
End of Regulation (really):
Maryland 77
Mount St. Mary's 77
Diggy Coit 34

Coit is 7-9 from three, including the most important one, with 8 seconds left off an inbound to send this game to overtime.
November 20, 2025 at 2:08 AM
West Virginia beat Maryland in a "secret" scrimmage before the season, 95-73.

WVU also beat this same Mount St. Mary's team 70-54 on Nov. 4

I extrapolated that this would be a tight one tonight for Maryland.

Mount leads 71-66 with 3:18 to go.
November 20, 2025 at 1:52 AM
Arlaundus Keyes joined the party, hitting three 3-pointers in a row, and a Trey Deveaux fast-break layup has propelled Mount to its biggest lead of the game, 64-58, with 7 minutes to go.
November 20, 2025 at 1:42 AM
Maryland's lead that was once as large as 13 has been cut to five, 53-48, after an ongoing 8-0 Mount St. Mary's run. 12:44 left.
November 20, 2025 at 1:26 AM
At the HALF:
Maryland 40
Mount St. Mary's 32

Terps are only 35% from the floor, but Maryland has their biggest lead of the game after a 16-7 run to close the half. Elijah Saunders' 11 points leads all scorers. Diggy Coit also in double digits with 10.
November 20, 2025 at 12:53 AM
Five-star Blake forward Baba Oladotun has chosen to play next season at Maryland.

A major get for the program; he lifts Buzz Williams' first full-year Terp recruiting class into the top five. A big cheer and chants of Baba go up at Xfinity Center as he announced the news.
November 20, 2025 at 12:42 AM
One gets the sense that Maryland, especially while so injured, is going to play a lot of these neck-and-neck games, regardless of opponent. 24-23 Terps, 7:34 left in the half.
November 20, 2025 at 12:33 AM
Maryland takes on Mount St. Mary’s tonight in its final game before next week’s Players Era tourney in Las Vegas.

No Pharrel Payne, Solomon Washington, George Turkson or Myles Rice for UMD.

Diggy Coit, Collin Metcalf, Darius Adams, Elijah Saunders and Andre Mills will start.

Looking and sounding like a man who has had a weight lifted from his shoulders, Maryland football coach Mike Locksley spoke with emotion Tuesday following the announcement from athletic director Jim Smith that he would return to lead the Terps next season.

"It wasn't really a surprise to me," Maryland WR Octavian Smith Jr. says about coach Mike Locksley returning for next season.

November 17, 2025 at 6:10 PM
Mike Locksley returning for 2026 makes Maryland’s early season schedule even more intriguing.

It’s not as perennially soft: Vs. Hampton followed a road trip to UConn (8-3 this year) and wrapping with UMD’s first regular season game vs Va Tech (and its new coach) since 2013.
November 16, 2025 at 8:20 PM
Maryland AD Jim Smith: “To continue building on this foundation, Coach Locksley needs — and deserves — the full support of our department, our university and all of Terp Nation. We are fully committed to giving him and our student-athletes the resources and investments necessary”
November 16, 2025 at 8:20 PM
Maryland football coach Mike Locksley will return next season, per AD Jim Smith, vowing increased NIL resources for next season.

Similar step that Wisconsin and its administration took in backing Luke Fickell earlier this season. Maryland’s last win was against the 3-7 Badgers two months ago.
