Thanks to President Trump, Sweden doesn't trust the USA. This is to be expected.
Swedish Deputy PM: Sweden needs to pick its friends wisely, and we are choosing Canada… So when we come to America, we come to Canada now.

Article III, Section 3 of the Constitution "Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort." Need two witnesses, too.
Marjorie Taylor Greene: "I was called a traitor by a man that I fought for 6 years for. I gave him my loyalty for free. I've never owed him anything. Let me tell you what a traitor is -- a traitor is an American that serves foreign countries."

Wasn't his real role to do nothing, or better, to destroy an "useless" agency. If he did that, he was successful even if it wasn't what agency employees wanted.

It would certainly be nice if this applies to others besides her. Threats are not benign.
No one should have to face such threats.

It would’ve been nice if Greene had realized this before she amplified and endorsed calls for executing Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama.

I always find it interesting how the story changes when a lawyer gets to court. They can say anything they want outside of court without accountability but the rules are vastly different in court where you can get seriously penalized for lying.

. . . emergency money for hospitals to pay the bills for immigrants who are sick enough (quite often, actually, speaking from my San Diego experience) to be admitted for in-patient care. There is no money for clinic services for these people or procedures as outpatients, even if indicated.
I’m speechless, I am without speech

They are not holding out for "healthcare for immigrants". Please remember that insurance pays the doctor and the facility, clinic or hospital. None of the money goes to the person with the insurance. For Medicaid, there is no money for "illegal" immigrants. There is some emergency money . . . . . .

Health care (insurance) for life. FOR LIFE! And who pays? We do.
ROLLING STONE: “The current Congress has dropped the pretense of public service altogether… Congress enjoys ultraluxe health care as it fights to gut yours.”

@RepTimBurchett @MarshaBlackburn why don’t you care about anyone but yourselves? www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

We are actively trying to rid ourselves of infections, which would mean that there is nothing for us to do (except vaccine-non preventable diseases like diabetic foot infections).
I am an infectious disease Dr and I would gladly find something else to do with my life if we were able to eliminate all infections through vaccination and public health measures. That's how strongly I feel about infection prevention & the positive impact of vaccines. I am ok with being out of a job.

ICE will try to anyway. It’s likely that we’d find out after he is in Africa.

How about it's easy because it's true.
Also genuinely absurd to hear these folks get all lawyerly now!
“They’ve got money for ICE and golden ballrooms but not for hungry families” is so easy it’s almost funny

This is good, but will it stop an administration that has so far been willing to violate other laws.
It has been the law since 2019 that furloughed federal workers will receive back pay, and this shutdown does not give the President or OMB any power to change that.
