I’ve always said that it’s not enough to be against something; we need to be for something. As too many Americans struggle with the skyrocketing costs of everything from housing to child care, House Democrats are ready to fix the issue of affordability.

Despite being one of the fastest-growing industries, there is still a significant gender gap in the solar energy industry. SEIA’s Solar Sisters initiative has been leading the effort to close these gaps and build community for women across the clean energy sector.

One of the highlights of my job is hearing directly from you – and so many of you made your voices heard. This year, my team and I answered more than 11,854 phone calls! Each call helps inform my work in Washington, so please keep leaning in and engaging. I couldn’t do it without you!

Over the past 12 months, the highlight of my work has been hearing from you – whether that’s at a town hall or at one of our many community events 🗓️ This year, I criss-crossed #MD03 and attended a total of 243 events, meetings, and site visits – including hosting 21 town halls.

Congress just wrapped up the final votes of this year. Even though four Republicans joined Democrats in forcing a vote on health care, Speaker Johnson sent us home early and refused to take up any meaningful action to lower the cost of health care for millions of Americans.

UPDATE: The President has signed 5 of my bills & 2 bills that I co-led, into law as part of this year’s annual defense bill. I came to Congress wanting to join the Armed Services Committee for this reason: it’s one of the few places in Congress that still works together to collaborate & legislate.

We are almost wrapped with our state-wide military installation tour! This week, I visited Joint Base Andrews with @hoyer.house.gov, which is home to multiple Air Force, Navy, and Space Force units and provides security for the President and other government officials.
