This is f*cked up!

There isn’t any law in this country that requires you to provide proof of citizenship on the interior, but unfortunately ICE is racially profiling.

And they don’t care if you say you’re a US citizen.

So where does this leave everyone? If you don’t look white, you’re in danger.

Your Cherokee words for today.
The top word is English followed by how it is written in the Cherokee language followed by how it is spelled in English then how to pronounce it phonetically. The word for "ice" in this context translates the same as "kidnappers" or "body snatchers"

Welcome to Mississippi, everyone!
I’m over other countries acting like all Americans voted for this or allowed this. Some of us have been actively fighting against this for a decade and refuse to give up. Some of us repeatedly warned people who refused to listen. It’s not all Americans. You don’t get to choose where you’re born.

In 2026 I want all of the decent people to remember one thing.

You aren’t meant to be this disciplined, this self-sacrificing to survive. The environment is supposed to support good living. We can have that. You are not a failure. That is politics.

That is all.

New U.S. Postal Service (USPS) rules:

As of Dec. 24, postmarks don't reflect date you drop off your mail, but instead, date your mail is processed at a regional facility. That could be several days later, potentially affecting #vote by mail, due dates & late fees, tax deductions, court filings, etc
USPS postmark shake-up could cost you big — property tax payers warned of surprise late fees
A new USPS postmark rule may cause property tax payments to look late even when people mail them on time. The change can create surprise late fees for anyone who sends their tax bill close to the dead...

You know. . . I was thinking about how we've been saying our society is no longer literate enough for satire and other genres comedy, and. . .

I also think our society can no longer do "realistic" movies and TV. We need to bring fantasy back to teach people that more is possible.

The cultural impact of Rob Reiner cannot be understated. Legend isn't big enough a word. It goes to 11. You can't handle the truth. As you wish. I'll have what she's having. I'm your number one fan. You guys wanna see a dead body? The very idea of a bucket list. The West Wing.

All from his movies.

A beautuful thread about Rob Reiner.
I’m just going to tell the story. Back in 2000 I was volunteering for the Gore campaign when he came along with Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Alfre Woodard and Dule Hill to a GOTV event here in MN. He ended up sitting down across from me stuffing his envelopes.
