Here's Reagan's full address on tariffs. Not that it needs saying, but Trump is 100% lying: the address talks about how Reagan hated tariffs, wanted to avoid them, and used them surgically to solve a particular trade dispute.

I just read somewhere that audio-only podcasts are unpopular now; that they need video too. I find the whole appeal of podcasts is that I can use my ears for them while using my eyes for other tasks (like watching where I am going on my walk). I find the modern world wholly mystifying.

The operative question is why a person who lives over an hour away from the district in question—and doesn’t pay taxes in that district—feels she has a right to sue the board for restricting her traveling roadshow of anti-trans hate screeds. #NHPolitics www.wmur.com/article/laws...

I have now received emergency fund-raising pleas from two arts organizations I donate to because their NEA grants were rescinded. I suspect there will be more, as I am a big music supporter. This was money they had already budgeted for! www.bostonglobe.com/2025/05/07/a...

Please don't use generative AI.

Even if it makes your life marginally easier, it does mediocre work, is built on the stolen labor of other people, and has an absurdly high environmental cost.

If you don't absolutely have to use it, please avoid it.

DHS Assistant Secretary said the intel report’s facts on Abrego Garcia “reek of human trafficking.”
