He is not impartial or neutral. The government should remove him from the Board immediately to protect the BBC's independence.

The worst you can accuse Panorama of doing is making a misleading edit – and I’d dispute that! – to make *a point that was true*.
The programme aired without anyone seeing any issues with the edit. It was on iPlayer for a year without complaints. Donald Trump *did* incite Jan 6th.

Tory culture spox demanding the BBC "grovel" to Trump is baffling. Who is this supposed to chime with?
Just a bizarre line that no one who doesn't use X would ever think.

Unpopular opinion, but I expect the Government to defend the BBC wholeheartedly . It’s made a daft mistake but the underlying message in Trump’s speech wasn’t changed - he fermented an insurrection.
And I don’t expect a single penny of OUR money to go to Trump or anywhere he directs.

One of the largest, if not largest, far-right rallies marches through London. Police attacked. And nothing, zilch, from the Prime Minister.
I’m afraid he’s the wrong man for this time.
You cannot stay silent when faced with fascism.

For the first time in my life the social norms that kept a lid on nationalist fascist racism; that reclaimed the flag; have stalled.
The lack of actual vocal leadership for us to rally around - for the pro-democracy, pro-rule of law, anti-violent, majority - is now becoming an existential problem.

I don’t know what this party is. It certainly doesn’t uphold any of the values that had me, perhaps naively, door knocking for them last year.
It’s one thing to be asleep at the wheel. It’s quite another to take issue with practicalities of mass deportation rather than treating it as a moral issue

No10 spokesman not prepared to criticise anything about Farage speech today.
Not his description of "invasion", not his prediction that the UK on brink of civil war, not plans to pay the Taliban or Iran to take back migrants, or indeed to rule out doing so themselves.

The laziness and implied bias of the BBC here is extreme - "No 10 did not comment" presumably because the CPS and courts are independent, but there's no attempt to find anyone who would argue the opposite view, just the unchallenged whine of someone who called for asylum seekers to be burnt to death
what the fuck is this headline from the BBC, I feel like I'm losing my mind www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Lucy Connolly says she was political prisoner over Southport post
She gives her first newspaper interview after being released from prison.

But are Reform really “making the political weather” as you, so uncritically say, Chris Mason, or are you making it for them by hyperventilating over each grubby little Tory-Reform-reshuffle, without *ever* properly scrutinising the howling failures of these deeply unpleasant, grifting clowns?

This may well be a test for the inhabitants of Bluesky.
Regardless of what folk think of Labour and/or Reeves, do you show concern for someone who looks distressed/poorly, or do you revel in that?

It would, obviously, be asking too much for our media and political class to care more about the repeated, state-directed criminal massacres of starving civilians in Gaza than what some rappers say at Glastonbury.
