It does rather seem that the only surviving people are the Board members who have all presided over the errors or issues they are so keen to castigate others/the institution for.

The great British (English) public aren’t blameless on this. A lot of people want the hate that Reform are selling.
A key difference is we no longer have either of the two most established parties condemning, moderating or offering a counter-narrative. Or not consistently anyway.
