At one point today, there were 283 Minnesota attorneys doing a training on how to file emergency habeas petitions to keep our neighbors from being shipped out of state and held indefinitely.
That would be the second largest law firm in the state. And that training was just put together this week.

ALL of us who served honorably in the military swore the lifelong oath to protect the Constitution from ALL enemies, foreign and domestic. We, who served honorably, have never forgotten that oath. Some of our non military leaders seem to forget they swore to protect the Constitution. I Wonder Why?

I’m a veteran. I pushed back on orders in my time. There were consequences, but that did not matter in the face of doing the right thing.
I hope any service member grappling with their livelihood vs their morality gets the support they need to make the correct choice.

It's not a sophisticated reaction, but my response to both "quiet, piggy" and the Coast Guard okaying swastikas and nooses is a deep sadness that the compassion we're working so hard to foster in our children will not just be challenged by schoolyard bullies but by the highest levels of society.

Something that’s always kinda irked me -
When speaking about sexual violence against women, there’s always an argument that “she’s someone’s daughter, mother, sister, etc.”
