Nanotyrannus is real.
For years I’ve considered many mid-sized gracile tyrannosaurs to be juvenile T. rex.
But I was wrong. This stunning new skeleton of a mature long-armed small tyrannosaur is clearly a different species.

This! As pointed out elsewhere, previous work was crappy and kept repeating debunked talking points. The folks who worked on this specimen got *new* data that at the very least shows the “Dueling” specimen is NanoT.

this should be considered a victory for evidence and proper evaluation of data and science. But I'm sure it'll be considered as vindication that wanting something to be true and arm waving about what someone else said they measured on a specimen no one else had seen, gave the *right* answer.
