When Covid caused NYC offices to hollow out what they found was that yeah the core business districts suffered but the neighborhoods where people actually live, thrived.

I'm watching Pluribus and this show should be labeled horror. The main character is unnecessarily emotional and has slow situational awareness. The musical score is chilling. The plot started with a lab scene. This is formulaic horror.

AT just signed with Project B and Im so disappointed. The vet players absolutely deserve that check, but not like this. UAE is literally funding a genocide while building their infrastructure using slaves from the global south.

The rich white folks werent ever fleeing NYC. They froth at the mouth at the suggestion of white suburbia. They are addicted to white urban myths, just like their rural counterparts. Proximity makes them feel as if they're less racist, and ultimately better (read: more cultured) than poor whites.

It took me 6.5 months to be approved for concealed carry and rifle/shotgun permits in nyc. I just found out from my local range that the transfer fees for one handgun = $200. And you cannot have ammo shipped to them, you have to buy it elsewhere, sometimes waiting 45 days. Wild!

While US venture capitalists were buying monkey jpegs, and DOGE coins, and figuring out how to get Black women fired, and tweeting about white birthrates, and trying to mandate which bathroom trans kids should use, China was making progress on climate change and taking the lead in a real industry.
China has made cheap, clean energy available in huge quantities. The world should take the win econ.st/4oqFszB

They only shame the poor for taking aid. Middle class and wealthy people get tax breaks, energy tax refunds on homes and cars, PPP, higher unemployment during 2020, and private school vouchers depending on the region.
Shaming people for using federal aid their own taxes pay for is where this country lost the plot.
