AOC on Randy Fine: “This is genuinely one of the most disgusting statements I have ever seen issued by an American official — It should not stop shocking us that the Republican Party openly embraces this — Fine should be censured & stripped of committees. To ignore this is to accept & normalize it”

The idea that you can single-handedly take a word used by a community for decades to redefine and rebrand it into a concept openly hostile to Black people is absolutely a declaration of a politics and philosophy committed to denying Black people agency, imo.

To the point people are openly bragging about being okay with public bigotry...
what did you think Woke 2 meant?
Yeah, the Nazi tattoo is part of the appeal for Platner for a lot of people. His candidacy is supposed to signal the left no longer concerns itself with “woke” issues like public displays of bigotry.

But people still wonder why representation matters? Why the aperture needs to be opened?

So no matter what Israel does, Fetterman will never entertain a restriction on US aid. Who else gets such a blank check?

I feel like I remember something like this. There was controversy as to why Tyra wasn’t doing as much runway work
I’ve watched enough interviews about their feud to know a little about a lot.

Naomi pushed Tyra out of the European fashion market. Sent her packing back to LA.

Listen, I remember when Rev. Jackson would go overseas to negotiate hostages. I’m not saying the US government asked him for help but I know he got on that plane and risked his life for humanity.

How many of the media outlets eulogizing Rev. Jesse Jackson today spent decades trying to undermine his work & turn him into a punchline?

something I think about with Jesse Jackson’s passing… I can’t imagine how it feels to have made your life’s work fighting for a better country, see some positive results, and then watch it all unraveled in FAR less time, in the same lifetime.
