Here’s the wild thing about all of this. One good message from good messengers and people are inspired by small acts to do bigger acts, and this is over. The solution lies with our collective hearts and minds.

Grok, put a gun in his hand
Make it like he’s sleeping.
Make his skin pale like a vampire
Now twist his torso
open his eyes slightly
Put a big pool of ketchup near his head
Put a bunch of people around him cheering

one takeaway from the grok noncon porn thing is that much of the media just isn't interested in an issue they can't pretend has two sides or that doesn't give them an opportunity to shit on the left. Also it would be uncomfortable to justify remaining on twitter after acknowledging it

I doubt that this is the comically absurd timeline where time travelers have interfered Producers-style with idiots to accelerate the end of US hegemony, ultimately preventing a world ending conflict... but I couldn’t tell you how it would be different.
MILLER: The US is using its military to secure our interests unapologetically in our hemisphere. We're a superpower. It's absurd we'd allow a nation in our backyard to become a supplier of resources to our adversaries

TAPPER: Sovereign countries shouldn't be able to do what they want?

Got this today, January 5th. No amount of rush donations are going to get you printed signs or billboard space in time for tomorrow, so I think you’re good already.

One, the guy currently famous for playing Spider-Man should not be associating with a green themed product- the color of his nemesis. Two, you can tell he’s a peach irl, but he is not a fashion model. He does not have the face of a sexy mysterious guy, his is a sweet dork with nice hair.
No me convence el cambio de nombre de Peter Parker, pero al menos mantiene la aliteración.

I have no receipts for this take, but Timothee Chalamet vibes like Justin Timberlake in my head as a sketchy artist who’s using privilege to get away with something.
my ‘there’s something about that chalamet that i just plain don’t like’ viewpoint, while both vague and unjustified, continues to bear out
Michael played three roles in Sinners. Man, what the FAWK?! 😒

And how did Caracas get “plunged into chaos on Saturday,” Daily Mail? Everything was fine on Friday. Where is their head of state who would be responsible for stability?

Food service workers, I beg you. Spit in these people’s food any chance you can get.

If you’re an American and you were planning on taking cruise or vacationing at a resort in the Western Southern Hemisphere in the near future, God fucking help you. I don’t care if it isn’t refundable, don’t take the risk. You know better.

“…should be presented FORTHWITH”

Hakeem getting big mad. If Trump understood that word, he’d be very scared right now.

This is the same take some people were making about George Floyd’s rap sheet after he was murdered.
Maduro is a brutal and oppressive dictator of Venezuela.

Trump has no legitimate legal basis for military action against Venezuela under United States or international law.

Both of those facts are simultaneously true.

This feels worse and more ominous than what happened in Venezuela, tbh.
I‘m discontinuing my social media use for the foreseeable future and I want to explain why.

I woke up in the new year to discover that some guy on here had saved photos I took on New Year’s Eve and used Grok to remove my clothes. I know this because he showed me.

To be clear, she appreciates the extraordinary rendition of a head of state, violating international and US law. She’s just upset for not being included. What a monster.
My statement on the capture of the brutal, illegitimate ruler of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, and need for a transition to democracy:

As atrocious as kidnappings and bombings are, this is what puts me over the edge. How would the total destruction of such a society not be just? And if my family and I were collateral damage, so what?
January 3, 2026 at 2:57 PM
I would greet them as liberators.
If China bombed the White House, forced the President and the First Lady onto a military plane, flew them out of the country, and announced it on state media would that also be called a “capture” just trying to understand

(Trump unilaterally kidnaps a foreign leader and wife without a declaration of war)

BasedMikeLee: I’m getting Article II vibes from this. This is definitely, maybe legal.
How does launching air strikes and a commando raid fall under the remit of self defense for an arrest operation

Grok is contraband. It is a proven CSAM printer and any datacenter that hosts it is facilitating the distribution of it.
January 2, 2026 at 8:46 PM
It did apologize in the literal sense- like a psychopath. It said the words of apology and recited the laws regarding CSAM when asked. It is, however, in no way deterred or rendered incapable of doing it again. The technology is fundamentally incapable of any such abstraction, moral or otherwise.

This and Jeong’s piece are a balm for anyone who feels like they’re going insane after experiencing 2025’s news cycle.
As it happens, I have experience with high-level government demands to stop an explosive, accurate story from running, and I also have experience with 60 Minutes spiking a story I was involved in, so I have thoughts about the travesty at CBS. If you want some journalism anecdotes, here are a lot:
Watching Bari Weiss Murder Investigative Journalism at CBS
Notes from someone who's withstood White House demands to stop an explosive story—and who once even had a 60 Minutes piece spiked
