Act Now!
Israel is moving to legalize executing Palestinian hostages while denying them legal access, holding them in isolation, and granting total immunity to those who carry out the killings.
This is the logical outcome of decades of impunity, racist dehumanization... 1/2

In October, ICE grabbed Maher Tarabishi.

He was a 24/7 caregiver for his disabled son Wael.

At the time of Maher’s detention, disability advocates warned that taking away Wael’s caregiver put his life at risk.

Wael died on Friday at age 30.

ICE caused his death.

They didn’t get to say goodbye.
Disabled son of ICE detainee dies after 30 days of hospitalization
It had been months since Wael Tarabishi seen his father. The family is calling on ICE to release Maher Tarabishi so he may attend his son's funeral.

The tragic loss of lives in NZ flooding events this week are climate change deaths. Media and govt are avoiding the topic.

Leaders and commentators must acknowledge the emerging reality of ordinary summer rainstorms carrying volumes of water akin to tropical cyclones of previous decades.

This map shows the erosion susceptibility for Gisborne & Wairoa. It's from 2018 i.e. BEFORE Cyclone Gabrielle so it's likely the areas of high & very high erosion have increased. The forestry companies know this too, yet want a pass from the effects of slash? Talk about selfish & destructive.

I’d like to see the #NZ medical/health/safety organisations stand up and do the same ⬇️

All nations that care about reliable health information should be calling out the use of the now unreliable information at US-based institutions under their current leadership.
Great to see Canadian officials take a stance.

I’ve been saying for a while I wish other nations’ health and medical institutions would reassure their people they no longer use the US-based resources under the current US administration – and as Canada has, encourage their public to do the same.
Canadian officials say US health institutions no longer dependable for accurate information
Misinformation from the Trump administration is cited as fuelling Canadians’ concerns over childhood vaccinations

Jordan’s experience is all to common. Discrimination and ableism are the biggest barriers for disabled people seeking employment, placing many of us in a catch 22 situation as to whether to disclose our disability or risk missing out.
Out of desperation, a man hid his visual impairment to get a job interview. It didn’t go well
The unemployment rate for people with disabilities is the highest it has been since the government started collecting this data.

I'm really uncomfortable about this news.

I think it's time for our media and opppsition politicians to be asking very blunt questions (that don't go away) about AoNZ based companies and AoNZ govt involvement in the wars and genocide machinery being used by others abroad. 🤬

First there was reduced wastewater surveillance for Covid and now the crowdsourced FluTracking survey is being discontinued
Min of Health has decided not to continue with the FluTracking survey each week from next year.

What a ridiculous decision. The cost savings must be minimal

What are our taxes actually used for if not things like public health?
