This is amazing to see.
It's 20 years since @seanphillips.bsky.social and I exchanged a sketchbook back and forth in the mail, a drawn &painted call and response. INTERSECTIONS may be out of print but here is a flip through that sketchbook. You can still find the book out there :)

I was rereading Nightwing 110 and am trying to figure out how I missed this obvious @gailsimone.bsky.social reference my first time through.😂

I put out another new podcast episode. It's nice to have some regular releases after such a long hiatus.

I can’t get over that the frame for this series is Barry Allen thinking he is writing a history of the universe, and filling it with things like “then Batman changed his outfit”

I'm always amused when people on dating apps think their musical tastes are broad and a bit all over the place but, really, they just listen to pop.

Looks like the seller was just as befuddled as me. I get to keep the book & get a refund, which is nice, but I checked the website & seller's ratings are based on response times & number of returns so...even though the guy was super nice I think it has a lot to do with keeping their 5 star rating.
Oh, Internet Seller. You specifically featured the Marvel Horror: The Magazine Collection on your listing, ISBN and everything, but you shipped me Vol 21 of the Marvel: The Ultimate Graphic Novels Collection.

Why do you task me so? I was really looking forward to my order, too.

Truth.
I know people aren't as crazy about The Forever People as the rest of Kirby's Fourth World, but where else are you going to see a cowboy hippie demigod give a disabled child Cosmic LSD?

I've been kicking myself for not doing an October horror movie marathon like I often do but then I realized that I've been reading dozens of Marvel horror books all month, and watching season five of the Twilight Zone, and I felt suddenly less negligent with the level of my Halloween spirit.

That feeling when a credit card company charging 20%+ interest sends you an email warning you about scams.

30% of eligible voters in Edmonton turned out to vote in the municipal election. That's...pretty shameful, really. Especially considering how many people bitch about wanting change.

Seen it twice, now. Once in IMAX. I feel like the script could have used one more pass but, overall, I think the TRON of it all is satisfying enough. Gorgeous looking film.

Kind of unsettling how much Marvel's Sons of the Serpent are basically ICE.

I've been in a real Marvel horror reading space of late and noticed the Midnight Suns game is on sale in the PlayStation store. Wondering if this will help scratch the itch or if it's just another Avengers/Super-hero game?

Released a new episode of my podcast, today. After a year of being on hiatus I'm happy to be back with a conversation featuring writer and podcaster, Greg Ehrbar talking about H-B and his latest book.

Another Ernest Chiriacka original. My two things of note on this one are those fantastic expressions, and the guts it took to just... no illustrate that foreground column in any way. It's nothing but an online. Not colored. Not anything.

Holy shit! I just finished reading Beware the Creeper by Jason Hall & @cliffchiang.bsky.social & I'm just...gah, I loved it. Literally felt made just for me & deals with so many of my interests.

Paris in the '20s, Café Society, sex, art, murder, class conflict, and a dollop of history. Brilliant.

omg how mad would you be that your secret cinema in the Parisian catacombs had been rumbled
In 2004, Parisian police were conducting a training exercise in the french catacombs and found, after moving past a desk and a tape playing audio of snarling dogs, a fully functional movie theater and bar. When they returned 3 days later, the equipment was gone, with a note: “Do not try to find us.”
