Oh, so very, very true. I have just sent out my finished novel to the second test reader, this time a professional author, and I have preliminary interest from a literary agent on it, all of which has meant 24/7 editing for editing round . . . gazillion, I think, after five years. Yes, gazillion.

I used to think that, too, when I was younger, and didn't read much. Then I started reading, as an adult, and found it more enriching.
