The Epstein files and the Trump administration and the Silicon Valley ghouls and the ICE goons all have one thing in common. Will let you guess!!!
I have an idea for saving humanity that we haven’t tried yet: put women in charge.

Donald Trump is "the Epstein Administration."

Pass it on
Massie: "Donald Trump told us that even though he had dinner with these people in NYC and West Palm Beach, that he would be transparent. But he's not. He's still in with the Epstein class. This is the Epstein administration."

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

God, this annoys me. If you “don’t know” then the precautionary principle applies. You either accept that it’s possible and behave as if you’ve created a novel consciousness with rights, and your company is now essentially a nature reserve/maternity ward… OR…

We must speak plainly about the agenda Elon Musk & other MAGA leaders are pushing. It’s white nationalism.

There’s no room for Black, Hispanic/Latino, Asian, Native, Jewish or all other Americans in Musk’s monocultural vision.

Multiculturalism is superior. We can’t allow Musk & others to end it.

Trump's USAID abolition is worse, but it's legitimately hard to think of anything else. You could machine-gun people for weeks and it wouldn't approach the harm caused by breaking the Red Cross code on medical personnel

I already knew from folks discussing it earlier but I am still gobsmacked in the worst possible way at how depraved so many things and institutions and people are. The sheer scope of it all is… disgusting feels like a minuscule and inadequate descriptor now

Franzi Schimmer captured this Grizzly bear in Brooks Falls, Alaska just floating along, tippy-tapping down the river, browsing the salmon.

Prior to hibernation, up to 40% of a bear's body mass is fat, which is less dense than water (~0.9 g/cm^2), so the murder-monster is also a floaty-boaty.

The decisions amount to a huge legal rebuke, but the administration has continued jailing people indefinitely.

This 10 year old boy was chased down by ICE in South Jersey. I am beyond outraged, both as an American and as a father to two boys.

Our system is broken. The first step to fix it is for ICE to leave our state.
A 10-year-old boy recounted fleeing Thursday morning as a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement operation began near his school bus stop in Lindenwold, New Jersey, saying, "We all were scared."

"We were all scared," says child who ran as ICE operation unfolded near New Jersey school bus stop
Dylan, who is a U.S. citizen, told CBS News the day seemed normal — until he heard his classmates suddenly start shouting "ICE."

“Sec Def Hegseth loaning CBP a high powered laser to shoot down a drug cartel drone without coordinating with the Federal Aviation Administration about potential risks to civilian flights… only to have it turn out to be a child’s party balloons.”

The writers still have the juice with new metaphors.
An astonishing account of recklessness and maladministration at the highest levels. (gift link) www.nytimes.com/2026/02/14/u...

Again, this is the through line of American history, from the failure of Reconstruction to ICE killing people in cold blood on the streets of Minneapolis, with lots of ugly "City Folkz are not Real Americans and their votes don't need to be counted" stuff in between:

It really is amazing how much of political punditry, *especially* elite outfits in NYC and Washington, still embrace this bizarre idea that rural spaces represent the "Real America" while metropolitan areas, where most (presumably real) Americans actually live, should be held in contempt.
Just going to point out again that our arbitrary political rules permit Republicans to attack urban areas with impunity but strictly forbid the faintest whiff of condescension toward rural areas by Democrats

I can't get past the idea of DoD handing over a high-powered laser to the Border Patrol sadists.

When I started working at Los Alamos, there was a feeling of camaraderie that meant that a screwup was a betrayal of your colleagues.

Hegseth and Duffy have no sense of that.

I am gonna go out on a limb and say that a Jersey dude so horrified that he went to his first protest and is trying not to cry on camera has a pretty good chance of staying radicalized. And that while Bluesky loves to pick apart things like this, this kinda video moves the needle for OTHER dudes.
Yesterday morning kids were sent running from their bus stop in panic because ICE showed up. This guy at today’s ICE Out of Lindenwold protest is a must watch 😭. @maddow.bsky.social

Utterly unacceptable in a democracy. In a sane world, House Republicans would be drafting impeachment articles today and Senate Republicans would be preparing for a trial to convict and remove him from office

When will Republicans, veterans organizations, & retired military officers speak up about this? No president in the history of the Republic has done this. Yet Trump, Vance, & Hegseth do it constantly. It betrays the most important core value of our military-no partisan politics.

It's exactly this. Musk never gets called on the fact that he's been 10 years out from a moon colony for the last 16 years; Republicans never get called on anything; why wouldn't CEOs start testing out this new accountability-free zone and just say whatever's convenient to manipulate the moment?
I work in procurement and our vendors have been rolling out AI systems and... it has been a disaster. The AI gets everything wrong and I have to navigate a labyrinthian telephone menu to get to a human to fix it.

This has big "We'll colonize the moon in 10 years!" Musk energy.
