One reason I feel like I'm going mad is, even if Musk did immediately halt Grok and issue a grovelling apology - rather than PAYWALLING IT - he should *still* be prosecuted and his website banned. Very obviously! You don't get out of CSAM charges by just stopping. AND HE STILL HASN'T STOPPED.

I was going to do a snarky post about how the SEC got zero teams into the national championship game

and then I remembered that also happened last year

and then I remembered that also happened the year before that

Editorial in the National Catholic Reporter: "The vice president's comments justifying the death of Renee Good are a moral stain on the collective witness of our Catholic faith. His repeated attempts to blame Good for her own death are fundamentally incompatible with the Gospel."

After the tragic shooting of Renee Good at the hands of ICE, the Catholic vice president of the United States took to social media to justify the killing.

No one who treated "wear a mask when you enter this store" as horrific tyranny actually believe in deference to state authority.

It's Schmittian friend-enemy politics all the way down. "We" should be able to do whatever we feel like without consequence. "They" should be harassed, repressed, killed.

These people will fire and deport you for insufficiently glazing Charlie Kirk but openly celebrate killings against perceived ideological enemies.

I was asked what image really stands out for me from the scene of today's killing of an observer by federal agents. It's this one, where border patrol Commander Greg Bovino appears to be staging a photo op less than an hour after and just a few dozen feet from where a federal agent killed a woman.

ICE is a "rogue organization" and it should be "disbanded," says Democratic Congressman @joaquincastrotx.bsky.social in an interview with me today, for 'Mehdi Unfiltered', reacting to the shocking killing in Minneapolis.

Much injury. Grievous threat
According to witnesses, this is the masked ICE agent who shot the driver in Minneapolis. He shot from the side into the vehicle.

This is him walking away from the crashed vehicle.

Remember: Federal officials do not enjoy categorical, absolute immunity from state-level prosecutions. They are entitled to removal to federal court. But conduct that is unreasonable or unnecessary for the execution of their law enforcement duties is susceptible to criminal prosecution.

losing my mind at the "she should have followed directions" people

really? really? you're cool with "if you don't follow directions, they get to kill you"? that seems like a good state of affairs to you? that seems like how law enforcement ought to work: instant obeisance or death?
