I told my kids who were upset after Trump won in 2024 to keep in mind that he would enter office as a lame duck. In time he would weaken as all lame ducks do as maneuvering to replace him would start slightly before the 2026 midterms. It’s seems to be happening sooner than expected.

I wish I could be that lucky. We can’t have sparkle on the tree skirts because the cats fight over it. And my 2 golden retrievers have wonderful thunder-tails that require all breakable ornaments got to the top half of the tree.
