How do I file an abuse report against an AT protocol auto-labeller? The system has labelled me "very mad" but I'm not mad. I'm actually laughing.

This, a million times over. Turn the rude label off in settings if you want to see this content; tell your followers to turn it off in settings if you want them seeing this content. Easy.
I’m going to need the people who don’t understand why the “rude” label exist on here to go read about Gamergate
(I am not saying it’s a good implementation, I’m saying if you don’t understand the class of problems it seems to aim to solve you should think harder)

Yeah I think about this sometime when I'm up late at night scrolling On Here

It's like you're having late night dorm room conversations..... all the time, with strangers

When you put it that way, it sounds kind of insane??
I know that people see “folks just want a break” as a political/social question, but longtime followers are gonna know where my pivot is: this is very much a technology issue!

if the telegram caused global news, and radio caused global human community, the Internet has functionally erased “breaks”
I think it is a real struggle for the modern moment, in that the push for progress over the centuries has mostly been done by people who were “existentially involved” in matters, but we have a baseline expectation that political life is not to be existentially demanding.

Sparta was really strong, until they were conquered by a drunk and his son, a Aristotle-educated, artistic twink whose cultural whims would dictate western culture for the next 2000 years
And then Spartan Oliganthropia enters the chat

Anthony Fisher making what should be an obvious point: one can (and should) decry the secular growth of the imperial presidency. But it takes wilful blindness to then treat Trump as just another step in this secular progression. www.ms.now/opinion/libe...

Anthony L. Fisher: A recent New York Times op-ed showed the blind spot many libertarians still have for President Donald Trump.

If you are wondering what words the all-male Congress found so "blasphemous" that they felt compelled to literally scrape them off the monument, they were: ''Woman, first denied a soul, then called mindless, now arisen, declared herself an entity to be reckoned.''
On this day in 1921, Congress reluctantly accepted a sculpture memorializing women’s 19th A victory. Congress relegated the memorial to the Capitol’s crypt & painted over the feminist inscription. The statue stayed entombed in the crypt for 76 years. The inscription is still not restored. #WeTheMen

bring back shame
The contrast is striking: In Europe, some individuals named in the Epstein files are facing consequences; in the U.S., public shame no longer operates as a meaningful deterrent, and consequences rarely follow.

Epstein files fallout takes down elite figures in Europe, while U.S. reckoning is muted
Unlike in Europe, officials in the U.S. with ties to Epstein have largely held their positions of power.
