I know all eyes are on Minneapolis, but there's a fast-approaching nightmare in Springfield, Ohio.

Trump is revoking protected status for tens of thousands of Haitians living there on Feb. 3.

Reportedly, on Feb. 4, 1000 ICE agents are arriving to remove this population. Ethnic cleansing.

Just visited with Liam and his father at Dilley detention center. I demanded his release and told him how much his family, his school, and our country loves him and is praying for him.

We need to talk about the rise of "smol bean fascism" where you have all the guns and the immunity but the really scary people are the ones with whistles and phone cameras and they're giving you generational trauma and ptsd by filming you killing people for no reason

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

The City of Philadelphia has introduced legislation to limited ICE in the city. The Federal Agents can not be masked, must have ID visible, must have arrested warrants signed by federal judges. They can't attack people. If they can't do this, they will be arrested.

Ian Austin, an Army veteran, was arrested for protesting ICE in Minneapolis. But he’s continued protesting. Senior reporter @julialurie.bsky.social spoke to him.

“When they say, ‘Why would you be out here?’ How the fuck could I not be out here?” he says. “My nation is under attack."

It doesn't matter what the Constitution says. If the government can execute you on the street or in your own home on a whim, you have no rights. None.

Ohio AG candidate Keith Faber: The left has portrayed Renee Good as an innocent mother and poet. But the video shows her actively impeding law enforcement.

pretty wild statement re: Republican Chris Madel drop from race for MN governor:

"Saying he cannot support the national GOP's 'stated retribution on citizens of our state, nor can I count myself a member of a party that would do so."

I can’t afford healthcare or electricity, and ICE just abducted my neighbor. But at least I no longer have to see plaques that mention slavery when I visit national landmarks.

It is genuinely insane to watch capital decide that allowing this shit to go on is better for them than having to allow the FTC to do mild monopoly investigations and require cancellation buttons on websites.

What is to be done?

Protests where the American people are killed in the street?

Strikes where the American people wait in their homes to be disappeared?

The only power we have is in action in unison.

Connected, impactful, and concise boycotts, strikes, and refusals.

And it must happen now

What’s the point of this? Sending bloodthirsty, outlandishly armed thugs into the street?
In the videos they are just WAITING for an opportunistic set of circumstances to kill, harm, or maim someone. Circumstances where the State can come in and justify their violence with absolute immunity.

I absolutely believe 7th grade civics-class ideas about America as a nation of immigrants and free people
At the end of the day, this is why you can't take anything Stancil does seriously. He's not a serious person with serious political ideas. He's an idiot with a concept of america formed by 7th grade civics class. He is exactly the kind of idiot that got us into this mess.
Hard agree. It’s just wrong! There’s a reason my community is full of Latino and Hmong and Somali people, and it’s because another America does exist and has existed. A free and welcoming America we can return to

a few things I want people to get from this:
-how tense it is here. I was death-gripping the steering wheel during this, even watching it makes me tense up
-how organized the community is. the rapid response networks are ENORMOUS and highly effective
-how completely the city is united against ICE
