This thread is so insulting and disingenuous. I don’t give two shits about your feelings, I care about whether you deliver for the American people. And you clearly cannot under your current leadership.
Many feel betrayal and frustration, and the feelings are hot right now.
I get it. I have my own feelings.

okay, so, with Dems successfully keeping anyone up in 2026 for voting for this turd let's take a look at who's up in 2026 anyway:
1. Cory Booker - apparently involved behind the scenes, constantly looking for bipartisanship. I don't dislike him personally but he doesn't have what we need. Primary.

The big lesson from the right wing capture of centrist media (eg the Washington Post), is that the quality of the product gets worse and the audience they are trying to appease are not going to tune in.
The BBC spends so much time bending over backwards to placate and whitewash the right, and it will never be enough because the British right does not want the BBC to exist.

Tim Davie resigns as BBC director general after accusations of ‘serious and systemic’ bias in coverage
Davie says departure is ‘my own decision’, while head of news also quits. Insiders say it ‘feels like a coup’ by broadcaster’s enemies

The absolute gall of saying “We will keep fighting” moments after you completely surrendered with nothing to show for it. This man and his cowardly compatriots sold us all out. He should be removed from leadership and every one of them should be primaried.
Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis
For the millions who will lose coverage
For people with cancer who won't get the care they need
For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare

I am so fucking angry and so disappointed tonight. What is even the point of a party that is this spineless and stupid?
I assume all the Centrist Dem Pundits (TM) are pleased while the rest of America loses their rights, their benefits, and any sense of hope. Honesty fuck every last one of them.

They panic about fertility rates, say families need to be having more children, then they starve the kids and ensure health insurance is impossible to afford. Plus all the other things that would dissuade people from having kids: houses impossible to buy, diminishing middle class, ICE everywhere.
Breaking News: The Trump administration told states to undo any steps to provide full food stamp benefits to low-income families, threatening financial penalties if the states do not comply. It was unclear how that would affect the program.

If you’re looking for a sandwich guy t-shirt to celebrate may I suggest this shop?
Lots of Etsy shops selling these are also selling pro-Trump, MAGA gear. This shop doesn’t and has lots of other awesome progressive products. And the service and products we got were excellent.

I see some quibbling about if sandwich guy is really "jury nullification" (we know he's factually guilty and acquit anyway) or actually just a normal acquittal because the government didn't prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt.
Fun thing about jury nullification is that's entirely unknowable.

In light of today’s discourse, a reminder:
Women have always worked. The big shift from feminism was women getting access to all types of workplaces with an expectation of equal compensation.
When they say they want to kick us out of the workplace, they actually mean they want us to work for free.

The first evopsych article I encountered was something about how our breasts evolved to look like our butts bc men naturally prefer doggy style but women wanted men to looks us in the eyes so if our boobs look like butts they would be willing to gaze at us.
How does anyone this is a field of study

THIS IS WHY WE ALL HATE EVOPSYCH. Can we please fucking discredit this pseudo-naturalist bullshit at last?

We *know* shockingly little about prehistory—we *speculate* about it, in ways that tend to reaffirm our own assumptions and biases, and then these speculations become sage wisdom about human nature, but only to the exact extent that they assert that women evolved to make sandwiches.

The Murray Rothbard articulation of the conservative movements goal to “undo the twentieth century” is often cited in their attacks on the accomplishments of the New Deal and the Civil Rights Movement, but they very much mean the Second Wave feminists, too.
No one wants to talks about the Second Wave without caveats, but the Second Wave liberals were responsible for a decades-long march of legal changes to civil rights and family law that allowed women to work in public as men’s formal equals, and that’s what these people are undoing.

i’d also say that the GOP’s obsession with this gives candidates an opportunity to articulate and stand up for their values. “i refuse to make anyone feel like they don’t belong in my [state/city/community]. and i want everyone to live the best life they can achieve [insert policy slogan]”
I am taking particular pleasure in the complete collapse of trans-as-unbeatable-wedge-issue narrative this morning. It might be an 80-20 issue in voters minds, but it has to be on voters minds to matter. The results in VA demonstrate that it is very much not on voters minds.

Unhealthy for who, exactly? For individual users? Bc it’s wildly arrogant to think you can tell every person how best to use social media. For society as a whole? I’d love to see studies showing that fighting randos online is healthy for a society.
Or do you just think you’re entitled to attention?

Blocking hatemongers is one thing but this trend of using mass block lists to avoid hearing from people who might or might not hold points of view you expect to disagree with is unhealthy imo and hurts the platform.
