No-strings-attached, zero-means-testing, no-questions-asked cash payouts have been proven, over and over again, to be the most effective form of charity/aid going.

It gets people in housing, and it saves the state money. We know this. It's fact, not theory.
An Oregon pilot program giving cash to homeless youths sees a staggering reduction in homelessness. The program gave participants $1,000 cash payments each month for two years, and at the end of the project's first phase, 91% of participants reported being in stable housing.

"Fairness in school sports"

So you're controlling access to professional trainers? No? Or accounting for developmental stage differences within the same age groups? No? Creating budgets to keep every kid fairly equipped? No? So what is it that defines a fair sporting experience exactly, I wonder?

I like snow but seeing how absolutely trashed the sidewalks and bike lanes makes me a bit depressed. Why is it a pain in the ass to walk in one of the densest, most walkable parts of the city? Why is the city pretending the bike lanes are just for funsies and not actually how people get around?

Why did everything become gambling so suddenly?

This is actually quite brilliant, up to and including the final sentence 🔥
