i am glad i'm working on everything early because i saw my proof this morning from IngramSpark had a giant "RESTORED" on the title page because I had to work from a previous file when my formatting program crashed

I want it on the record of history that artists realized the harm immediately and were (and continue to be) loud bitches trying to stop the idiots who are out of their minds.
I'm convinced AI is our generation's radium - a discovery with genuinely useful applications in specific, controlled circumstances that we stupidly put in everything from kid's toys to toothpaste until we realised the harm far too late where future generations will ask if we were out of our minds.

I have yet to see any evidence that there is a market for AI-generated books outside of people being tricked into thinking they are not AI-generated books. AKA, it is a project of scamming and deceiving people, and really should be treated as fraud

the idea that making art is embarrassing if you don't do it well enough to make a career out of it is an objectively harmful and toxic brainworm.
An opinion I pretty firmly hold is that everyone should make a song, paint a painting, act in something, and write a book even if all of those things end up being objectively terrible

Democratizing the arts looks like universal income, low-barrier grants for both emerging and working artists, well-funded municipal arts & recreation programs, vibrant third spaces, and a well-funded public school system with progressive curriculum.

I really really hate learning new tools but oh my god everytime i open Word there's some brand new kind of bullshit distracting me from my work and I think I might have to switch to libreoffice and just commit to learning something new.
