Pathologic framing the entire game as opera - all of the NPCs as actors, is the kind of galaxy brain move I wish more video games would do.
it's cute how whenever pathologic needs to facilitate dialogue with some supernatural figure - a reflection of somebody's inner thoughts, or a dead person - they just get a tragedian to stand there and do the lines

Magic systems are often a big part of fantasy rpgs, but often people limit themselves to having 1 magic system in their game and setting.
You can have more than one, mechanically, if cleric do magic differently to wizards give them different systems
