As someone who never jumped on the bad wagon, ATLA is so interesting to me in the way that 20-year-old IP is still getting active products and media tie-ins which everyone seems to agree are ok at best. It's like a reverse HP, none of the fans like anything that gets made.

Imagine entering this new game space and finding out that not only does every single IP have a "The Rock cannot lose a fight" clause attached to their blorbos but it's also completely self imposed.
You need to understand that there is both an officially licensed "Avatar: The Last Airbender" RPG where nobody is allowed to be the Avatar AND an officially licensed "Doctor Who" RPG where nobody is allowed to be the Doctor. The situation is dire.

My greatest worry with dismissing Musk et al as misunderstanding the source material is that it ignores the actual connections and parallels between DnD's construction of race and the history of race science. They are not inventing racism where there is none, they can see the game for what it is.
