JD Vance on the Russia-Ukraine war:

Today’s case is different than the deployments in California, Oregon and Illinois, because Trump controls the DC National Guard

However, the judge noted that “Congress has given the District rights to govern itself. Those rights are infringed upon” once Trump unlawfully deployed National Guard

If a reasonable person would know the order is illegal, you MUST refuse.

Obedience is not absolute, duty to the Constitution is.

Oath is to defend the Constitution not a person

Yes. U.S. service members have a legal and moral obligation to disobey an illegal order.

Not just the right.
The DUTY.

Before she died, my great-grandmother told me what her mother told her as swastika uniforms took her to the gas chambers:

"Remember you're a Jew; I'll return soon." She never saw her again.

A new Coast Guard policy says that same swastika isn't hate but "potentially divisive."

Never again is now.

The press corps sure could do a better job of challenging Trump when he lies, when he refuses to answer questions, when he attacks colleagues. The first reporter who says to him, "Why are you being such a jerk?" will become a folk hero. And i hope he or she keeps their job.
I’ve been thinking and it’s kind of exceptional that not a single person said “Hey now” after the piggy comment.

I see the far right is trying to extricate Trumpstein from child abuse by saying teens are ‘women’.

Whether Epstein raped a 12y old in Epstein’s homes in NYC, or Florida, or his plane or his island, that’s depraved, that’s evil & that is illegal.

Those excusing paedophiles are as bad as them.
