He/Him. British/American depending on mood.

Noisy Neighbors said I was funny once. A long time ago.
Actually I'm always thinking a check raise shows strength. Unless those 3 kings are the nuts I'm probably giving it 50/50 player 2 has a better hand.
How not to play poker:

Player 1: I'm in
Player 2: I'll see you
P1: I raise because I have 3 kings!
P2: I'll raise too
P1: I fold, because even though I have not seen your hand it is must be better than mine or else you would not have raised after I told you what I was holding.

To be fair it's a guarantee of a vote and Democrats have less than 50 members. They will need 60 votes to pass the extension.

I'd rather have the promise, at least that isn't black and white proof of my failure.

Politician promises to "hold the line" but also criticises leadership.

Who is drawing the line then?
This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.

Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.

This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

Tim Kaine is the one who surprises me, like he hasn't just seen his state light up blue a week ago.

Settling for a future vote to extend ACA credits (which won't pass if it even happens) and a promise to rehire workers (which will be broken) is dumb and/or cynical as hell.

Been seeing this company's name a lot and

Every

I read it as guvnor.
Swiss oil trader Gunvor dropped its bid for Lukoil's international assets after the US Treasury labeled it a Kremlin puppet and threatened sanctions. Gunvor, co-founded by Putin ally Gennady Timchenko, denied the claims but withdrew its offer.

The stadium for the Kansas City Current -- whose construction 40 banks refused to finance because there had never been a professional stadium built for a women's team -- just finished its second consecutive season of sold-out games.

No One Wanted to Finance Their Stadium. Now Every Game Is a Sellout.
Building a professional women’s soccer venue was seen as brash. Now the Kansas City Current’s is a blueprint for others.

The US has never led on human rights but it was useful in dragging even worse states up to its level, which again has almost always been lower than other places.
If your government thinks the Pope “doesn’t know what he’s talking about” when he defends migrants’ dignity, the world should see the warning sign. The US is no longer leading on human rights. It’s suppressing them.

Why would you EVER go to market with an unfinished product in a marketplace that places enormous weight on reputation and is quick to judge.

It's not shooting yourself in the foot, it's shooting yourself in the head.

Honestly don’t know why people keep insisting on posting what some twat on Twitter says on here. If you’re that interested, fuck off back there. Otherwise, who gives a shit? We all moved here to escape that nonsense.

I want to know what vile pics were sent, I'd bet money they were just photos from the type of farms the ducks he eat were raised on.

Regardless, it's hard to be a foodie if you don't have a stomach. Toughen up Cliff.
Good morning world. Not my usual post, but feel I need to mention the attack I have been under from vegans this Morning regarding a roast duck dinner pic I published!!! Yes I’m a chef and a foodie. Never has this happened to me before. Vile comments and pics have been sent to me by these vegans!

There will be no trial, America never calls the people at the top to account.
Does anyone stop and think about how idiotic and embarrassing it is that we’re the United States of America, and we have an entire government that spends the whole day trolling, posting, and documenting evidence that will definitely be used at a future trial?

History keeps receipts but Americans do not, unless we're in a country where the civil war victory wasn't immediately thrown away and we don't glorify slave owners or people who genocided the natives.

Just checked, we are not in that country.
The 37 ballroom donors won’t be remembered for generosity, but for funding a monument to authoritarian vanity during a shutdown, at a venue nicknamed after a sex trafficker, while Americans wonder how they’ll eat. History keeps receipts & their names aren’t coming off those walls
