Reckon the best thing our collective set piece coaches could do now would be to review & change how we deal with 2nd ball & the immediate aftermath of initial contact.

There’s a bit of a lesson to be learned around this Briggs thing, & that’s if you don’t hire specialists, it’s on your own head (or should be, at least).
I feel a bit sorry for Briggs in that regard. But, football is a ruthless business.

Johnson would be a good buy for Palace, tbf. Would give them the threat behind which they lack when Sarr isn’t available & get on the end of things. Glasner might even be happy.

The timing is right to sack Briggs, with the games coming in less of a mad rush, & time to work on new set pieces in training available. It will be interesting to see if there’s any improvement.

Interesting to see what happens tactically on Thursday, both for ourselves & Leeds. Leeds could well be forced to change formation if Rodon is out injured, & we have a few returning who I expect will start.
Leeds though, will be licking their lips over our set piece defending again.
