Just heard a loud alarm going off in my neighborhood. My mind immediately went to visions of civil defense alerts and nuclear bombs raining over NYC. It says a lot about me that my first thought-to-action was, "Shit, this might be it... better save my work in WordPress."

Interviewed Rob Reiner over a decade ago. Told him, truthfully, I heard from crew people he was one of the best directors to work with in terms of being nice, knowing everyone's job, etc. He told me, "A movie is like a fish: it stinks from the head down." Will always remember that.

Rob Reiner made some great movies but he was also unafraid to speak the truth, and was one of the public voices who knew you don’t squander your platform, and only got louder about opposing evil fucks as he got older. Legend.
