They are on the inside though
Q: Pope Leo cited Matthew 25:35 to critique Donald Trump's mass deportation agenda. How would you respond to Pope Leo in scripture?

MIKE JOHNSON: Sovereign borders are biblical and right and just. It's not because we hate the people on the outside. It's because we love the people on the inside.

"Trump is a raging ball of racist, power-hungry id. He means what he says, he says what he means, no matter how ludicrous, monstrous, or completely untethered from reality. So, yes, Americans should be very, very concerned about his expressed desire to “nationalize” elections."

They want us working earlier and til we die to pay for their tax cuts for the rich. Supervillains.

This is a wonderful tribute. I’d forgotten a few of her roles (who can forget Dusty Towne’s Sexy Holiday Special?), but it was wonderful reading and remembering her talent and versatility.
"No two characters were alike. And once she’d dug into them, she was so committed that you you stopped thinking of what she was doing as a performance and started to feel as if you were just watching a person being themselves. A bizarre person, that is."

This is a family of American immigrants living in France, whose channel is devoted to helping people who want to do the same understand and navigate the right way to do so. Their perspective as immigrants themselves, seeing what is happening here, is touching and important to hear.

ICE and CBP agents seem to enjoy gratuitously breaking glass—from car windows to store fronts to homes. It’s an expression of unchecked power and dominance: “We’re in charge. We break and shatter what we want.”

And nights of broken glass have been a harbinger of worse to come.

When the president was calling all Somali immigrants "garbage" who "come from hell" and "contribute nothing" to America and therefore needed to go "back where they came from" did you ask him to "stop the rhetoric," Tom?
Homan: "I begged for the last two months on TV for the rhetoric to stop. I said in March -- if the rhetoric doesn't stop, there is gonna be bloodshed. And there has been. I wish I wasn't right. I don't want to see anybody die."

Two statements that are compatible.

a. I don't think concealed carry is a good policy.

b. I do not believe that someone carrying a gun in compliance with a state's gun laws gives federal law enforcement the right to murder them.

Proud of my hometown.
Good afternoon from downtown Chicago, where despite heavy snowfall, thousands have gathered for an anti-ICE/CBP demonstration in solidarity with the Twin Cities. More are still streaming in.

Lt. Illinois Gov. Juliana Stratton just addressed the crowd, and called for ICE to be abolished.
