My favorite irony this year is how Talia declared this in the spring and then proceeded to write one of the most popular works of fiction of 2025 😂
As I lean more into nonfiction, I'm going to engage less here on a personal level and leave my tweets more as commentary, when I'm not talking about upcoming projects or things I'm reading/planning to comment on.

So, announcing that I'm not really a fiction writer for the foreseeable future.

Trump’s problem is that so many Americans — including his MAGA base — believed that he’d expose a powerful global elite.

But every day it's becoming more and more clear that Trump may actually be part of that global elite.

Expect him to lash out as the walls close in.

Another of my reviews is on the internet, this time a Korean Sapphic vampire murder mystery: The Midnight Shift by Cheon Seon-Ran

This one really resonated with me, for Reasons. #booksky

My newest review is up, this time for The Buffalo Hunter Hunter by @sgj.bsky.social.

I say "review" but it ended up being more than that, because this book had a pretty profound impact on me.

First, the reviewer's bare minimum: The Buffalo Hunter Hunter is one of the best books I've read this year. It's Stephen Graham Jones at his most ambitious—a 448-page historical horror novel that uses...

After hundreds of hours of reading and research, my 2025 Starter Guide to transfeminine literature is finally live!

No matter your experience level, there's a book for you! 🏳️‍⚧️📚 #transbooks

The list covers a vast range of genres. There are 78 handcrafted recs on this list, and I've read all but two.
Start Here (2025 Edition)
Are you questioning your gender and searching for fiction that’ll help you figure out what a transition might look like? Are you a trans woman or a femmeby who’s never seen herself on the tradition…

A poetry Discord I'm on had discussion about how unreliable AI detection sites are. Curious, I put the most recent piece I wrote into GPTZero to see what it thought. This is its reasoning for why one particular sentence was probably AI.

At least it thinks "Horror." is probably human.

It's great to see this happening in my home town! I have fond memories of the Madison Children's Museum growing up in Madison.
The featured guests for the Indigenous Heritage Celebration will be Evan “Blue Sky” Logan, a tribal Bear/Thunder (Warrior) clan member of the Ho-Chunk Nation, and Shaya Schreiber, a member of the Marten Falls Band of Ojibwe, a First Nation community in Ontario, Canada.

I'm a US expat, queer, married to a Czech PoC. Going home feels perilous right now.

I also have stage IV lung cancer—maybe a year left, maybe twenty. That means I don't know if I'll ever safely see my people again.

Last night gave me the first breath of hope about it I've had in months.

Trans authors (I mean authors who are trans, NOT cis people who write about trans people), drop your book links here and I'll try to repost as many as I can throughout the day.

Cis people: Repost trans authors' book links.

Cis people who want to complain about being excluded: gtfo
Being a trans author is fucking weird right now. Hell is actively unfolding all around us but I still need to be like, "hey, everyone, wanna buy my silly little queer book? It won't make anything better, but it's kinda fun?"

“What Mamdani has done is not only inspire and mobilize young people, but he has exposed the establishment and some of their calcified views of participation and inclusion.”
