It should not be legal to cut creators out of royalties.
Miles Morales co-creator Sara Pichelli says she does not get any royalties from the ‘Spider-Verse’ films, Insomniac games, or merch

The Tower’s Tale~ some concept designs done for Victor’s Lab Tower from @realgdt.bsky.social FRANKENSTEIN! Based on the Wallace Monument in Scotland we visited during early scouting. Details and form would be worked up over revisions & the final design built into an amazing (huge) practical model.

One of animation's finest moments.
50 years ago, Bugs in drag helped form my understanding of how complicated people actually are. Two big thumbs up.

About to see Zootopia 2 and the cinema is PACKED. Not a single child present though.

I will forever recommend Hope Larson and Rebecca Mock’s Salt Magic. It’s a great book for kids with a whole other level for adults to appreciate. I’ve gifted it multiple times and it’s always loved. Last time I did so, the kid read the book immediately, then read it again that evening. #comics

As often happens, when I visit a bookstore, I ended up selling parents on books for their kids. Got a dad to pick up Smile and Sisters for his daughter who loves the Babysitters books. And helped a grandmother pick the right Dog Man book. And a mother pick up the complete Oz books.

Every now and then, I’ll pick up a book that smells like the very first copy of The Hobbit that I ever read and MY GOD that when smell does things to my brain. Pure delight.

You’ve failed Christmas if there are no ghost stories.
Tonight is Krampusnacht, so naturally I re-read the Hellboy comic of the same name.

I enjoyed seeing a bunch of Netflix films in cinemas lately... films that never should’ve been limited releases in the first place, but should’ve wide releases. Films that should be on blu-rays, not locked away on a streaming service I don’t want.

This depresses the absolute shit out of me.

I’m not surprised in the slightest that the person that got his glasses broken was a man, and the person that broke the glasses was a woman. No doubt, this guy is a real fucking creep.
In terms of what’s understood to be socially acceptable behavior, normalizing the filming/taking pictures of people in public who are minding their own business (and putting it online) is one of the worst developments of the past 15 years.
Woman Hailed as Hero for Smashing Man's Meta Smart Glasses on Subway
A New York subway rider has accused a woman of breaking his Meta smart glasses. She was later hailed as a hero.

I have always picked up comics for creators. I found out Hergé made Tintin and I didn’t want more Tintin from other people, I wanted more stories by Hergé, so I tracked down Popol Out West, Quick and Flupke, and Jo, Zette, and Jocko. www.podbean.com/ea/pb-gvim9-...

This is your December reminder that it's absolutely acceptable to try and get to a set annual book goal by cramming in as many novellas and cookbooks as you can find before Christmas swallows you up! #booksky 💙📚
