The fact that Bluesky started gated & then was so much smaller than major competitors allowed it to function reasonably well with a very small team for a while. Now it’s blown up enough to attract scammers, spammers, bots, & other bad actors at scale it’s going to need to ramp up moderation fast.
A day later, the fake impersonating account is still up. Thanks to all who have submitted reports telling Bluesky that it's a fake. It would be nice if Bluesky had faster moderation, although I understand it takes resources to do it quickly.
This is a fake account impersonating me, and apparently sending out a lot of DMs. I've reported it as a fake, but I don't know how long Bluesky takes to moderate. Please block and report, thanks.

There are more people who vote Blue in Texas than there are in New York. Words can’t express how outrageous any “let them go” sentiment would be.
3. Nearly 60% of TX's pop is BIPOC, and new pop growth in TX is basically a 10:1 BIPOC to white ratio. So before you fire up your "let them go" hot takes, consider that you'd be advocating for the abandonment of a lot of folks (many disfranchised or inadequately represented) who hate this shit too

An expressly bigoted law professor inviting a white nationalist to speak is pretty shocking. But if the reporting is accurate, students protested vigorously by a variety of methods but both bigots got to speak, which is roughly the way it’s supposed to work.

Today, the president of a synagogue in Detroit got knifed to death; she happened to be friends with Rashida Tlaib and someone who worked with Tlaib on various issues; no matter, she was Jewish and that's good enough.
