You want to know what its like to live through this? Every day is a week long. Whatever motivations you had about work, about art, about love feel meaningless. The grief is overwhelming. #usa

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

I see James Watson has died.

What did Watson discover?

Rosalind Franklin's lab notes.

Only we spell it 'S-T-E-A-L' these days.

I always find it interesting how the story changes when a lawyer gets to court. They can say anything they want outside of court without accountability but the rules are vastly different in court where you can get seriously penalized for lying.

An awesome thing about being a journalist, and not a politician or advocate, is you can say true things even when they’re unpopular. For example, climate change is real, perpetrated by specific actors, harms many people, and should be resolved as fast and thoroughly as possible.

I owe an apology. I said earlier "We won't win them all tonight".

It looks like we will.

I'm going to take some time away to learn, reflect, and grow, with apologies to everyone I have harmed.

Elected Democrats spending more time today praising Dick Cheney than Zohran Mamdani is a great case study in abject fucking moral failure.

In the run up to the second Iraq war my dad wrote an article comparing it to the gulf of Tonkin and Cheney himself made sure my father was fired from his gov job

Anyway he’s dead

Very very good piece, applicable everywhere.
Vibes Aren’t Everything. They Are the Only Thing.

This "great American" talk on MSNBC is making me ill. I'm sorry for his family, but you can't erase war crimes and mass murders. How many widows were created by his lust for power?
