Bored, so I thought I'd 🧵 my #DoctorWho and professional #library, knowledge management, records management and book related passions together, and chart the occurrences they appear in the time travelling programme. No doubt I've missed some, so please let me know.
Best pound I spent today.

I've reached that age today. I've purchased a pair of +1.5 glasses just so I can continue reading the small print in Private Eye.

Reposting this as it's the great man's birthday today.
Great story as told by Bernard Cribbins which I didn't know. Noel Coward chose Cribbins' Hole In The Ground as one of his Dessert Island Discs! At the end of the show as Roy Plumley asked which song he would keep, Coward chose that one! "When I stroll along the beach I can translate it into French!"
My latest archive TV rabbit hole (thanks to @talkingpicturestv.bsky.social) is Tell Me Another, anecdotes from 1970s luminaries. I watched one last night and, oh my god, I have become fixated on Michael Bentine! I want to know more about him so have instantly ordered a copy of his autobiography.

How can it be forgotten if it is the story for the 1973 Christmas special?

I've kept a list of books I've read from the last year again. I matched the same number as last year.

Favourite book of the year: The Ministry Of Time - Kaliane Bradley.

As I am now starting to read this fascinating Stanley Baxter biography, one book I've always thought I had in me was a history of vaudeville and of forgotten music hall comedians. I don't know if one already exists, but if it does it's probably been written by Roy Hudd.
RIP Stanley Baxter: Scottish comedian with a gift for sketches, mimicry and song

I guess it's finally time I got around to reading this as it's been sitting on my shelf for years.

The Christmas Peep Show Bake Off edition was a lot of fun. It was a shame Patterson Joseph also wasn't around to substitute for an absent Robert Webb.

The rest of Christmas TV needn't bother as nothing will beat a 37-year old episode of Ever Decreasing Circles just now on BBC4.

This is amazing! Sooz hasn't just updated me on what's happened in 'Enders this past year, she's also updated me on what's happened in the last ten years, which is probably when I last watched (tho I do spend lunchtimes watching "Classic 'Enders" on U& Drama). It's as though I've hardly been away! 😍
Here it is, my big #EastEnders catch-up thread for people who only see it when they go home for Christmas with the family. Allow me to get you all caught up on the goings-on in Albert Square in its most explosive week of the year! KEEP THIS BY YOUR SIDE AT ALL TIMES.
