A lot of Informational and Essay YouTube has the contours of expertise, cribbed from NPR and PBS and a sprinkling of Radiolab style fake paradigm shift, without having an actual solid base of knowledge.
Or in some cases they are being paid to mis/disinform you.

One of the things that will remain disorienting to me is when Informed Influential YouTubers (TM) use words incorrectly and people defend it.
YouTubers aren't necessarily experts, especially if they cover a range of topics.
Their knowledge base is making videos that do well on YouTube.

Friendly tip for folks. My discord got hacked yesterday and my computer was acting funky ever since. Turns out it was malware installed through a blender file I bought as part of an asset pack on CG Trader. I didn’t know blender files were being used this way, but I figured I’d spread the word.
