Wait.... Does Trump think the $38 trillion national debt is like.... from buying things to import?
The way Trump talks about the problems he caused by unilaterally imposing tariffs is fairly insane, even by his standards.

At the risk of sub tweeting I'm deeply shocked to see a journalist question whether a scientific term is just fear hype.

He could look it up. He, more than your average person, presumably has that power.

Just because you haven't heard a term outside your field doesn't mean it's fake?!

Ravenous big tech is here to feast on our resources — and its lobbying playbook is only just getting started
Australian investment in data centres is already the second highest in the world — but the ravenous big tech industry wants more.

The failure to navigate this split in the user base is what did for Old Twitter. The option they went for ended up annoying both groups, and they didn’t have the courage or clarity of vision to see it through.

I think I get about $200 every quarter.

I've colored hundreds of books. Things I thought would be long tail aren't. And that is okay.

My actual retirement plan is that I take everything after taxes and put it in savings. I live on $75/wk for groceries. Rent is low, power is low.
My even hotter comics take is if you are a comics creator who makes a significant amount in royalties, you should be transparent about those numbers and the journey you took to get there.
My hot comic take is all wfh comic shit should be paid a salary, every other week, like everyone else at the publishing company. I’m tired of hearing about our colleagues crowdfunding funerals and healthcare.

If a wealthy person pays you to remove all their blood & oxygenate it, you should just leave that blood on the floor and not put it back in.

Damnit. The answer is always draw more. Lack of ideas: draw more. Bored? Draw more. Bad at it? Draw more.

Yeah, but the best thing to ask me about is probably studio practice. A very over looked skill set. Or maybe invoicing.
Share your knowledge if/when you can. Teaching other people how to do what you do doesn’t lessen your art - it just means more and better art for everyone.

I appreciate when people are willing to tell me about their brushes, how they study, etc… I want to put that back out into the world.

I have a new axis for deciding if I enjoy art:

Does it make me want to make art? Or does it crush my soul and I want to give up?

In the 90s millenials were taught the person on the other side of the computer could be a 40 year old which pre-teen you had no business talking to.

They need to remember they are now the 40 year old and the person on the other side could be a pre-teen they still have no business talking to.

Every interviewer who doesn't ask

"What do you mean specifically?"

is enabling this garbage. Specifically explain how opinions are money. Specifically explain how you will go from a billion to a trillion. The difference between a billion and a trillion, is roughly, a trillion.
The co-founder of Kalshi says: " The long-term vision is to financialize everything and create a tradable asset out of any difference in opinion."

His Motorbike, Her Island (1986) is one of those movies I often find myself day dreaming about.

It's so good. It's so sexy. It's so filled with feelings even though there is very little speaking. It feels much more real and grounded than any New Literalism.

Today the finale of STAR TREK: RED SHIRTS hits with Issue #5.

I’m so proud of this book, and it’s (intense!) twist ending.

This also marks my last STAR TREK comic after 2 years and 9 months of ongoing issues… It’s been a sheer joy.

I owe @heatherantos.bsky.social the world(s—brave & new)…
