Libraries need to be more vocal about the digital pricing problem. I only buy for Sora (the school version of Libby) when specifically requested by a patron. I talk a lot about why I don't buy on the regular and patrons are always shocked at the price difference. I have to pay $75 not $1.99!

ICE took the flower man in Echo Park 40 minutes ago. He’s at this corner every day. I’ve bought flowers from the man and woman here for anniversaries and birthdays. Lemmy loves to smell them whenever we walk by in the mornings. I was just at the street corner 15 minutes before it happened. Fuck.

I think opposition to abortion is actually a great place to situate a working definition of fascism. The baseless desire for control over the bodies of an underclass, reaffirmed as such by that control.
