This and the post it quotes are both true buy often positioned as unrelated and even things to argue abt. If minorities in the south were allowed to build power, they would do so and form coalitions with white people that improved lives. This would lead to less racist white people over time.
white republicans are able to rule alabama because virtually every white person in alabama is more racist than anyone you have ever met
Alabama’s population is 28% Black and increasingly Hispanic. White Republicans are only able to rule by cheating. And when Dems invest no money in red states that becomes a self fulfilling prophecy

This was Alessandra Korap Munduruku this morning. She lives in the Brazilian state where COP is taking place this year! She was not given a pass into the Blue Zone.

These are the voices you should be listening to, boosting, and celebrating. Not the politicians who are attending #COP30!

the thing about ppl underestimating how masculine i actually am is not primarily that it hurts my feelings, it's mostly just that it confuses and complicates their analysis of what im actually like

A woman who works for Bloomberg is running interference with them. Megyn Kelly is trying to muddle the water by making people think it matters whether you abuse a young child or an adolescent. Ghislane Maxwell was the right hand woman of the most obscene child sex trafficker in history.

It's class.
What the Epstein files show is the *solidarity* of many men-across class, race, religion, profession & party affiliation-in the global political project of keeping the boot on women's necks.

People have no problem understanding class solidarity among the rich. Why can't they see gender solidarity?
Like I dunno, maybe the reason it took a lady to break open the story of all the men protecting the dude trafficking underage girls is because the male journos were all emailing him making jokes about it?

like honestly whats happening is a woman has accrued a bit of authority organically over a small number of other women bc she espouses and practices virtue and discipline, & this threatens a lot of men in our western buddhist convert scene who want to pursue insight and concentration without ethics
literally in my religious community some women were getting together to like take precepts and study dhamma 😭 and some prominent dude in the local buddhist scene is like, they're getting together to plot and connive

The New York Times is the rhetorical vanguard of empire. This is incredibly well-documented AND there are many instances *in our lifetime* showing this to be true
Legitimate question as to why ANYONE is defending the NYT, about Epstein specifically or the outlet generally. Were you born yesterday? Are you completely unaware of the century of horrors that the NYT has ignored, denied, or made the case for? Literally the last place owed the benefit of the doubt
