I've been part of local campaigns to close prisons. There's so much organizing that has to happen. I wish people understood that it often takes years. We're going to need state/county level moratorium campaigns as a start.

ICE doesn't ever "leave" any state. There will continue to be ICE and CBP enforcement actions as there were during previous presidents. Hillary Clinton was saying this in her remarks. She doesn't like the visible violence but she is fine with "regular" violence.

ICE/CBP have gone unfunded for 3 days; how about 3 years? The best way to claw back the $170 billion immigration enforcement surge in the Big Beautiful Bill is to just claw it back.
