Gaeltacht planning guidelines which various ministers have promised to be delivered soon on numerous occasions since 2022 will now not be delivered appear to be on the long finger once again. #Gaeilge

Surprise and criticism as Gaeltacht planning guidelines delayed again until 2027
Campaigners for Gaeltacht housing are bitterly disappointed over the lack of urgent measures in the housing plan published today.

I am calling upon the people of Ireland to immediately begin construction of a thread on this site about how you or someone you know was roasted for a fashion choice. We need it.

All roasts must have come from Irish people *only*. Please respect this important rule, it makes a difference.

You pay fuel duty. Why don’t billionaires?

This week, we launched WeWingAnyCar.com to help you qualify for the same tax breaks that private jets get.

Because tax loopholes shouldn’t just be for billionaires.

They’re for everyone.

Reducing car use in urban areas a “very significant road safety tool” — RSA-funded research
Reducing car use in urban areas is a "very significant road safety tool", while pedestrian priority has "very significant potential" for safety in our villages, towns, and cities, according to TU Dublin researchers in work which was funded by the Road Safety Authority. Researchers from TU Dublin examined the outcomes of traffic changes in Oslo in Norway, smaller urban areas in the Pontevedra region in Spain, Brussels, and Ghent in Belgium.

I've been watching this for more than 20 years in European politics, and now Ireland is inexorably heading in the same overtly racist direction.
Buckle up, things are about to get really, really shit.

So, apparently Substack is in the 'bad egg' category. Which is really annoying as I found it really good, something more like what the blogosphere was before social networks/microblogging.

Any suggestions of where a person might usefully migrate?
I have suggested in the past that it would be a good idea to leave Substack if that's where you have your newsletter.

But now?

Now I'm just telling you to flee.
Get the hell off Substack before you literally can’t anymore without blowing up your business

Better for the climate, better for health, better for livability and quality of life.

Common sense.

Such a no-brainer, it’s remarkable that more cities HAVEN’T done the same.
Paris said au revoir to cars. Air pollution maps reveal a dramatic change.
