Very high spring tides (aka #kingtides though that is not a technical term) in San Francisco Bay today and tomorrow. This morning at Crissy Field the water was nearly up to dune vegetation. Driving into the city I saw flooding in Marin including an on-ramp to US101.

Lemme be totally clear about this one, if we don't get the sales tax measure on the ballot in a couple of counties we won't really have public transit anymore. Like at all. Yes, it's that bad.
The next year will be a key period for transportation in the region as BART and Muni grapple with funding, robotaxis continue to expand and traffic remains an expanding issue for drivers.

So I’ll be a heretic. 😊 What comes up for me atm is how MTV was a window to other places for small-town Americans like me. The introduction of Black culture (while taking a while) was major, but also different places around the world (tho mostly white at the time) and just generally “weird" people…
