Well, the most urgent things have been attended to. I should probably eat something today beyond a microwave chimichanga and a cup of coffee.

This day would have been easier if I didn’t have to spend hours re-explaining every damn thing. Seriously, I’ve had some awful bosses, but helping a relative who used to be self-sufficient is the absolute worst.

I have to keep reminding myself that not everything that generates panic is an emergency. Unfortunately, a few things do come up that are urgent or, worse yet, I don’t find out about them until they become somewhat urgent. Life.

A friend in Minneapolis just sent me this video. Looks like thousands have come together for a vigil after an ICE agent shot and killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good. This was my neighborhood for several years before coming to Portland.

I am increasingly of the opinion that language, while incredibly useful in some contexts, can serve to obscure meaning as well as reveal it. Even if someone is gifted a thorough treatise on basketball, they still will never become a player until they actually play.

Returning to my library book as I only have 11 days to digest it. After some slogging, it’s gradually making some sense in that it’s addressing some inconsistencies that have troubled me since childhood.

I think one reason why I am so perpetually tired is that I don’t seem to dream effectively. In my experience, dreams are evidence of an information synthesis resulting in pictorial narratives which can be recalled. So, if you wake during a dream, you might recall bits of the narrative.
