Now that October and baseball are over, I'm reviving my favorite "bit" of reviewing Hallmark & Co. holiday movies on @letterboxd.social. I'm also tracking how many POC are in each movie, which should be hella depressing.

I’m so lucky that I got to tag team daily Entertainment news coverage with Olivia back in the day at Bustle. Olivia is the best at taking entertainment coverage beyond the surface and outlets should make Hearst’s mistake their gain!!!

I hate that this brutal industry keeps laying off my friends 😞
I was laid off at Cosmo this week, but you can still read my piece there and show them that it was the biggest mistake they ever made!

Also, if you know of anyone hiring/looking for someone experienced in media content management/SEO/entertainment/ecomm, please let me know!
Not to be dramatic, but please click and read, my job might depend on it. www.cosmopolitan.com/entertainmen...

thank you for all the support; the statement from our union is now live here with some more reporting.

now that this is public I can confirm that the majority of today’s layoffs were women of color. there are no longer any Black women working at Teen Vogue.

I'm seeing a whole lot less outrage for the journalists of color who have been systematically discarded at places like NBC and CBS (and across journalism, really) than the response to Jimmy Kimmel's 5-day suspension.

they must end this game before the daylight savings clock adjustment. nobody knows what will happen if baseball gets into the time shift. we could get stuck in the time wormhole forever

I’m enjoying the games and the drama, but I honestly believe if I was a real fan of either of these teams I’d be dead from a coronary.

Turns out I don’t need to have a team in the World Series to experience Game 7 Heartburn and need Game 7 Tums.

Has this World Series consistently featured the highest quality of baseball? No. Has it featured the widest array possible of beautiful, weird, specific baseball delights? Yes.

Best World Series in years and so needed in 2025. Just the most incredible, talented, LIKEABLE two teams, filled with astounding immigrants from literally everywhere, great fun fans, no bad blood just some top notch motherflippin’ baseball.
This has been the best World Series maybe since 2001. It's only fitting that two future Hall of Famers face off against each other in game 7. I wrote about yesterday, today, and how MLB got everything it wanted and more: mollyknight.substack.com/p/world-seri...
World Series Game 7 tonight. Shohei Ohtani vs. Max Scherzer for Everything.
Are you not entertained?

World Series Game 7!!! Hell yes. Such a great series for two evenly matched baseball teams.

(Again, I know this is super fun to watch for me because my team isn't in it and I'm watching because I love great baseball, but good luck, Dodgers and Blue Jays fans 🫡)

I know the World Series is nerve wracking for Dodgers and Blue Jays fans (sorry), but as a viewer with no team in it who loves good baseball, these games have been so good. Grand slams! Errors! Extra innings!
