When I wrote about the ancient Zanclean megaflood filling the Mediterranean in as little as 12-18 months (!), it was wistfully.

I'm English. Lovely place, England, but Big Geological Drama? None of that round 'ere, sadly.

Imagine my delight at what geophysicists found in the English Channel.

The Batman effect: The mere sight of the 'superhero' can make us more altruistic
If "Batman" appears on the scene, we immediately become more altruistic: in fact, research conducted by psychologists from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan, shows that the sudden appear...

The reason why I started writing Interactive Fiction...
Just unpacked this Kickstarter bonanza. If you were a gamer in the 80s you may have, as I did, loved these paper-and-dice Fighting Fantasy gamebooks. A mix of solo #TTRPG rules-lite and choose your own adventure. Now 'remastered' and gorgeous. Hours of entertainment coming for me!

Well this 2,600-year-old clay letter was a journey.

It comes from the archive of a goldsmith named Nabû-zeru-iddin in the heart of ancient Assyria. We’ve got someone left on read, a lawsuit, a mean step-mom, and people who get drunk and steal silver.

I verbalize how sad this makes me.

Not the gal's post. The way people are completely shitty about it. The way people have been taking the smallest of hooks and spinning entire contextless controversies out of them on these sites is both tedious and infuriating.

Even judicial blocking isn't enough.
It hits different reading this whole thread.

Took a walk in the wonderful cold and snowy landscape earlier, but I forgot to use my asthma spray beforehand and now my longs feel cold and I feel chilled to my bones. Had forgotten how badly the cold can hit my lungs when I am not prepared.

If you are learning Blender - or even if you're more experienced; there's always more to learn - Jan is a must-follow.
Blender 5 makes setting up a Lattice easier than ever. Select an object, or even multiple objects, and then from the Add menu choose Lattice Deform Selected. You can also use Lattices to add objects to the surface of another object, and to animate things. #blender #blender3d #b3d
