Fascism sets in EXACTLY like this. Days go by. Nothing improves. The people wait with bated breath for SOMETHING or SOMEONE to help. Court orders, but no enforcement. Time passes. We become desensitized. Life goes on. Rights are chipped away. Life goes on. People die. Life goes on.

A vital look into the digital, collective origins of 'neuroqueer' - stretching all the way back to autistic Usenet forums in the early 00s.
Internet history is so crucial to critical neurodiversity studies!

Why knowing I am autistic is important (even diagnosed as late as 57): When I begin to berate myself for giving up on something, I now remember: no, you burned out. Autistic burnout is no joke. It's why being autistic is considered a disability. I'm not a loser. I'm running with ankle weights.

Over a year of these videos and images from Gaza, of orphaned children and bereaved parents and amputees. Sometimes I feel physically sick with the weight of it. At all times I feel like there's a monstrous horror right behind me, breathing down my neck, & I go through life trying not to look at it

BEHAVIOURAL THEORY 101: 🥕 > 🏒

- Carrots (rewards) work better than sticks (punishment).
- Carrots are more ethical than sticks.
- If you’re only offering sticks and no carrots, even when people want carrots, you’re not just ineffective—you’re unethical.

Intentionally follow, read, and share the work of scholars from under-represented groups in your field.

Look specifically for their work when you’re doing literature review and collecting citations.

These are, in very real ways, acts of justice.

That site really messed with my head and made me feel like a worse person.
