"But is anyone actually asking for that?"
Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.

"Tell me exactly what you want it to do"
Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.

“How can we get this to stick in people’s brains?"

We have a handywoman downstairs fitting a new door while we work upstairs, so Freddie has put himself on guard duty.

Hey, several batches of baby formula from a couple different brands in the uk and Europe have been recalled for contamination causing illness: if you formula feed, check your supply. Info here:

It comes after some batches made by Nestle and Danone were recalled after being contaminated with a toxin.

I've been watching All Creatures Great And Small and it keeps reminding me of my grandad. I think simply because of all the sweater vests.

As promised: crocheted goat sweater pics! 🧶

I made one for my librarian to try on her goats so I could check the sizing. She said one liked it so much he ran off with it & went to sleep. I need to add more of a turtleneck & bottom band to secure it but I'm very happy that it fits. More to come.

We're looking to capture experiences of what it means to be queer in the UK today! To do that we're collecting day diaries for 12th February. It doesn't matter what you get up to, or how you record it, we'd love to have it!🧵 (1/4) #LGBTplusHM #lgbthm26
In 1982, inspired by the work of MO the National Lesbian and Gay survey began, it sought to capture what everyday life was like for queer people living in the UK. For our latest open call we're continuing the work of NLGS and asking what does it mean to be queer every day?

I spent the weekend rearranging my study, as for the first time in six years I have an actual desk to work at.

Freddie has made his feelings on the changes known by vomming on the floor.

I am exhausted mind and body. And yet my brain will not yet me rest because it wants me to a) identify the precise name of my first Barbie doll from the mid-90s and b) decide on which brand of cordless power-tool ecosystem in which to invest.

🧵Once a year, today, on the 31st January, beware of the headless horseman who haunts Sloane Track, which leads from Penselwood to Stourton. A black dog follows the horseman.

According to the legend, a man made a wager he could get from Wincanton Market to Stourton in seven minutes flat. 👻🧵

I've never aided a genocide or instituted a hereditary chamber of lords or locked anyone up or used even one nuclear submarine so I assume there's a form to fill out to get my taxes back or
Rachel Reeves: "It is not right that people who don't go to university bear the cost for others to." I don't use local leisure centres and I don't drive, so will I be made exempt for taxation that pays for all that stuff? Or is it only education we'll be going after

The current vibe is get up at half past 10 at night, half an hour before you go to bed, eat a lump of freezing cold poison, work 28 hours a day at mill, and pay the mill owner to let you work there, then have your dad murder you in cold blood and dance about on your graves singing hallelujah.

Just a reminder that there is zero evidence of sex self-ID being abused in New Zealand after two and half years of it.
Nor any evidence of any attacks by trans women on cis women in women’s spaces in NZ, ever.

Stop trying to create solutions for problems that don’t exist.

It's weird how after every good thing/gain (even if we don't call it a victory) people circle up to insist we shouldn't celebrate. Celebrating is not how people give up, in my experience; believing we can't win, never win, and have no power is (with a side of joylessness).
I don't keep doomers in my feed but since apparently some folks do: "celebrate each and every win, loudly" is Organizing 101
