I've been watching some Star Trek TNG lately. Star Trek was one of my brother's favorite shows, and a few weeks back I kinda took it on as a way to connect. I'm three seasons in and I enjoy it so much more now than I have before. I think part of me misses somewhat episodic TV.

I love the rolling HP bar in Earthbound and I don't think enough people realize how distinct it makes the battle system.

Oh, yes ... I always watch it every Halloween so being able to see it in theaters is definitely gonna happen.
Been having a rough few weeks as I try to protect my kids from having their lives upended without being consulted, but I think it's all hashed out for now and my kids are safe.
Gonna be an interesting rest of the year, but let me tell ya, I'm feeling stronger than ever.

Writers should internalize Lao Tzu's lesson about how the emptiness at the center of a wheel is what makes it useful, and how a pot is valuable because of where the clay *isn't*. Corporate geek culture has warped us into thinking that negative spaces are flaws that need to be fixed.
